Do you remember my post “Need a DNA Scanner, DNA constructor, powerful computer, a lot of material and somebody, who has genetics education“?

There I wrote:

“Let’s create a fucking virus, which assembles based on our DNA sequence. I short protein sequence – much shorter, than DNA itself. Then, after cell division let a new one survive only if they both have the same identical virus copy, and kill it, if not.”

Now, we have some good news from Microsoft. They have assembled a “small army” of the world’s best biologists, programmers and engineers who are tackling cancer as if it were a bug in a computer system.

The researchers are even working on a computer made from DNA which could live inside cells and look for faults in bodily networks, like cancer. If it spotted cancerous chances it would reboot the system and clear out the diseased cells.

What I can say? Cool! Great minds think alike.

Yesterday night my grandma has passed away.
She was the best in this world.
Please, understand this right: this world is amazing place, and most of these people are really good. And in this good place and good people SHE WAS THE BEST.

So, I strongly disagree with current situation. Don’t tell me, this is natural. A nature has made us with an ability to change a nature itself, that is why it is natural to change natural things.

If everything is just in amount of DNA replication errors, and Hayflick limit just protect the organisms from turning into big cancer tumor, then we need another way to avoid these errors.

Let’s say, we use hash function with the check-sums to check the data integrity, when copying the files. Why we cannot use the same or kind of algorithm for our cells?

Let’s create a fucking virus, which assembles based on our DNA sequence. I short protein sequence – much shorter, than DNA itself. Then, after cell division let a new one survive only if they both have the same identical virus copy, and kill it, if not.

This mechanism may work as our biological data integrity check with not too much energy cost.

So, I need a DNA Scanner, DNA constructor, powerful computer, a lot of material and somebody, who has genetics education. And I miss my grandma.

External Car Airbag (mostly for the pedestrians)

This is about active safety for robotic cars, mostly for pedestrians.
As we already have all the sensors for the robotic cars to recognize the obstacles on the road, and computer to create a model of road environment, we can add several features to this.
Let’s say, we have the sensors to monitor on front of the car continuously.

Then, if the sensors signal about something or somebody in front of the car, we can check, if car can stop before to hit the obstacle or a pedestrian.

If not, then navigation system activates an External Airbag.

Of course, we’re talking about inevitable clash. Navigation computer calculates the movement of the obstacle, car speed, road condition etc. to determine, if car can stop before clash or speed down to let a pedestrian to pass the car and to avoid an accident, because we don’t want to hit somebody by the Airbag with no reason.

But, if navigation computer calculates, that we will have an inevitable clash, then this External Airbag activates.

Of course, current cars’ airbags may be not useful for this situation hitting too heavy. But they may be modified to multilayer and multisectional /multicellular. Each section from the beginning has lower pressure in it to have the very low on the outer section. This Airbag have to gently encircle the pedestrian without causing damage and knocking it to the side.
